Cover Studio

The image that showcases your app, built from your screenshots

For your GitHub README, Product Hunt or LinkedIn: add your screenshots (or paste your website's address), pick a color, and download a ready-to-publish image. Nothing to design.

Start with your screenshots

Up to 4 screenshots, desktop or mobile: import them, or paste your website's address to capture it on desktop and mobile. Add your logo and pick the brand color, or let it come from your first screenshot.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cover Studio really free?

Yes. It is an open-source project under the MIT license: no account, no watermark and no export limit.

Are my screenshots sent to a server?

No. Import, layout and PNG export all happen in your browser. No image is ever uploaded. The one optional exception: if you capture your site from its address, that address is sent to our capture service, which sends the images back.

Which formats can I export?

PNG files: 2400 × 1500 for a cover, or Open Graph, GitHub, X / Twitter, Product Hunt and square formats, with an optional 2× high-resolution mode.

Can I self-host it or contribute?

Yes. The site is fully static: clone the GitHub repository, run the build and host the generated folder anywhere. Contributions are welcome.

Can I capture my website directly?

Yes. Paste its address: Cover Studio lists its pages, you pick 2 (captured on desktop and mobile) or up to 4 on a single device, and the screenshots land in the gallery. Pages behind a login and sites that block robots can't be captured: import your screenshots instead.
